Okayo is designed with privacy by default. This policy explains how Okayo handles information when you use the app in the United Kingdom.
Okayo does not collect, store, or share personal data on external servers.
All app data remains on your device.
To provide app features, Okayo may process the following data locally on your device:
Location data (to calculate local environmental conditions)
Symptom entries you add (for your own tracking)
App preferences (such as sensitivities, notification settings, saved locations)
This data is stored only on your device and is not transmitted to us.
If you enable notifications, Okayo uses Apple’s local notification system to schedule alerts on your device.
We do not operate a remote push notification server for Okayo at this time.
Okayo requests weather and air-quality information from third-party data providers (for example, Open-Meteo) using your selected/current location coordinates.
We do not receive this data ourselves; requests are made by the app from your device.
Okayo does not require account creation, and we do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or payment details through the app.
You can control permissions at any time in iOS Settings, including:
Location access
Notification access
You can also delete app data by uninstalling the app (or using any in-app reset options, if available).
Okayo is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Because Okayo does not collect personal data on our servers, we generally do not act as a controller of personal data for app usage data.
If this changes in future versions, we will update this policy before those features are enabled.
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will be made available at the URL listed on the App Store page.
