Sensitive Data: Users are responsible for the security of their own location data to prevent the poaching or exploitation of sensitive species.
HerpLog provides species identification via the iNaturalist Open API.
Identification results are suggestions provided by an automated model and should be verified by the user or a professional.
HerpLog is not responsible for misidentifications or any actions taken based on the API’s suggestions.
HerpLog is provided "as-is." We do not guarantee 100% accuracy in GPS logging, altitude calculations, or species identification. The "Finds/Hour" and session stats are for personal reference and effort-tracking purposes.
The developer of HerpLog shall not be liable for any physical injury, legal issues, or loss of data incurred while using the app in the field.
