This Privacy Policy describes how Pack it up, Pack it in ("the App," "we," "us," or "our") handles information when you use our mobile application.
Pack it up, Pack it in is designed to work primarily on your device. We do not require an account and we do not collect personal information ourselves. If you have iCloud enabled on your device, your packing lists, templates, and trip details are synced across your own devices using Apple's iCloud — this data is encrypted and managed by Apple, not by us, and we do not have access to it.
We do not collect any personal information.
All data you create in the App — including packing lists, templates, trip details (such as destination and dates), notes, and settings — is stored locally on your device, and, if you have iCloud enabled, synced via your personal iCloud account so it's available across your own devices. This information is never transmitted to us, stored on our own servers, or shared with any third party. We do not require you to create an account with us, and we do not collect your name, email address, or any other identifying information ourselves.
Your data is stored locally on your device using standard device storage. If you have iCloud enabled on your device, this data is also synced via Apple's iCloud service so it stays consistent across your own devices — this sync is handled entirely by Apple, under Apple's own privacy policy, using your personal iCloud account. We do not operate any servers that store or process your data, do not have access to your synced data, cannot recover it if lost, and are not able to view, use, or share it. You can turn iCloud sync for the App off at any time in your device's Settings, in which case your data will be stored locally on that device only.
Regardless of iCloud sync, your data remains on your device (and your own iCloud account, if enabled) unless you:
Delete the App (which will delete this data locally; iCloud-synced data may remain in your iCloud account depending on your device settings)
Manually export, back up, or share your data using a feature provided by the App
[App Name] uses Apple's iCloud service (specifically CloudKit) to sync your data across your own devices, if you have iCloud enabled. This is Apple's service, governed by Apple's own privacy policy, and your data is stored in your personal iCloud account — not on servers operated by us. We do not integrate any other third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.
[If this changes in future — e.g. crash reporting or additional analytics — this section and the sections above will be updated, and the "Last updated" date will reflect that change.]
The App does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children, because it does not collect personal information at all.
You are always in control of your data. You can delete individual items, lists, or templates within the App, remove all data by deleting the App itself, or turn off iCloud sync at any time via your device's Settings if you'd prefer your data to stay on a single device only.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example if we introduce new features that change how data is handled (such as optional cloud sync in the future). Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Material changes affecting how your data is handled will be clearly communicated within the App before they take effect.
